New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- In three separate cases, customs officials at Mumbai Airport arrested four persons for smuggling marijuana and gold, officials said today.

In the first case, officials detained a passenger at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) for smuggling 5.922 kg of marijuana, valued at Rs 5.922 crore. The arrest was based on passenger profiling.

The accused had arrived from Bangkok on flight SL218.

During a baggage examination, Customs officers recovered the narcotic substance, which was concealed inside his checked-in trolley bag. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
