Mumbai, Dec. 20 -- Sharp claims and counterclaims have started doing the rounds between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) over seat-sharing for the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections.

The BJP has staked claim to all 82 seats it won in 2017, and has also reportedly demanded seats where it had finished second in the last civic polls. On the other hand, the Shinde-led Shiv Sena has claimed 109 seats, including a demand to retain all 84 seats it had won in 2017.
