Mumbai, July 23 -- Heavy monsoon rains pounded Mumbai for the third consecutive day today, triggering partial wall collapses, widespread tree falls, and severe waterlogging across the metropolis.

While no injuries were reported, authorities confirmed 11 incidents of uprooted trees, two partial structural collapses, and seven short-circuit cases in the past 24 hours.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a fresh nowcast warning for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Raigad, predicting moderate rainfall in isolated areas over the next 3-4 hours.
