Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- A man arrested for threatening to use "human bombs" to blow up Mumbai confessed during police interrogation that he did it to frame a friend, police said today.

Ashwini Kumar Supra, 51, arrested from Noida in Uttar Pradesh, was brought to Mumbai today. He told police he deliberately included his friend Feroze's name in a WhatsApp message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police to ensure his arrest.

Supra explained that he had a dispute with Feroze over a money transaction. Feroze had previously filed a case against him at Patna's Phulwari Sharif police station, leading to Supra's three-month imprisonment. Seeking revenge, Supra included Feroze's name in the threatening message to mislead the police.
