Ghansoli (Maharashtra), Sept. 20 -- Marking a significant leap in India's transportation ambitions, the country's first high-speed rail project-the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor-is inching towards reality as it completed a five-kilometre tunnel between Ghansoli and Shilphata in the State today.
Announcing the development at the site, union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the first operational stretch of the corridor is expected to be commissioned by December 2027, with full completion extending to 2029.
