Mumbai, Jan. 2 -- A truck driver was killed and three others injured after a Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) bus collided with a truck in the Aarey Colony area of the Mumbai suburb, an official said here on Friday.

The tragic accident occurred on Jan 1 at around 6:20 am on Dinkarrao Desai Marg, near the Aarey Colony unit no. 16 bus stop, when the truck lost control on a rain-soaked road and veered into the bus.

The truck driver who lost his life in the accident, Chehraji Thakur, hailed from Gujarat.

The bus driver, identified as Mohammad Rafiq Shaikh, 48, suffered head and leg injuries, while the conductor, Ravindra Shembadkar, 56, had minor injuries.
