Mumbai, Jan. 24 -- Senior Shiv Sena leader Bhaskar Jadhav has appealed to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to support Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena for the post of Mumbai Mayor, citing the birth centenary year of Hindutva icon Balasaheb Thackeray.
Jadhav said that as this year marks Balasaheb Thackeray's centenary celebrations, Eknath Shinde who claims to be Balasaheb's ideological successor-should extend support to Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray to ensure that the true Shiv Sena flag flies atop the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
