Imphal, Sept. 25 -- Police and security forces in Manipur conducted a series of operations resulting in the recovery of explosive devices and the arrest of several individuals involved in arms smuggling and criminal activities.
In a major recovery from Kaibung area in Kakching district yesterday, the forces seized components of an improvised explosive device (IED). The recovered items include an iron container weighing 1.7 kg, a wax cover of 683 grams, 3 kg of sand, a splinter weighing 2.7 kg, 470 grams of TNT explosive, 12 screws, an electric detonator, one meter of electric wire, and a booster (C3) primer.
