New Delhi, Jan. 11 -- Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Sunday said India's multilingual character reflects its deep civilisational strength and promotes dialogue rather than division.

Addressing the valedictory session of the Third International Indian Language Conference in New Delhi, Gupta said language is not just a means of communication but a bridge between India's civilisational past and democratic future.

The three-day conference was organised on the theme 'Languages, Literature, Youth and Technology' and brought together scholars, writers and linguists from India and abroad.
