Multifaceted Urdu editor wins Maha's top journalism accolade for literary excellence
Mumbai, June 26 -- The Maharashtra government has conferred its esteemed Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Puraskar for 2021 and 2022 upon Farhan Hanif Warsi, sub-editor of Mumbai Urdu News, recognising his exceptional contributions to Urdu journalism.
The announcement by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (DGIPR) simultaneously revealed Utkarsh Patkar awards for outstanding Marathi, Hindi, and English journalists spanning 2021-2023.
A high-level selection committee, chaired by Principal Secretary and DGIPR chief Brijesh Singh, endorsed Warsi's accolade following rigorous evaluation.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will present the honoree with a trophy, citation and monetary award at an official ceremony.
