Bengaluru, Jan. 12 -- Shams Mulani produced a brilliant knock under pressure to rescue Mumbai from early trouble and steer them to a competitive 254 for 8 against Karnataka in the first quarterfinal of the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite 2025-26 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 here on Monday.
After Karnataka won the toss and elected to bowl, Mumbai found scoring difficult against a disciplined attack and a lively field. The innings never gathered early momentum, with the mandatory powerplay yielding just 31 runs.
