Patna, Sept. 26 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today described Bihar's Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana as a landmark step towards women's empowerment in the state. Addressing women via video conference during the launch, Modi directly transferred Rs 10,000 each into the bank accounts of 75 lakh women who have already been enrolled under the scheme.
The Prime Minister emphasised that financial independence enhances a woman's respect and allows her dreams to take flight.
