New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today underscored the pivotal role of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India's past economic prosperity and called upon the sector to reclaim its legacy by aligning with the country's self-reliance goals.
Speaking ahead of the implementation of GST 2.0 reforms from tomorrow, the Prime Minister said the revised tax structure would significantly ease the financial and procedural burden on small industries, offering them a "double benefit" through reduced tax rates and simplified compliance.
