Lucknow, Nov. 18 -- Fixing a target to have three crore MSME with direct employment to 10 crore youths and 12 crore indirect jobs in the next five-year roadmap in Uttar Pradesh, the MSME Export Promotion Council on Monday suggested the Yogi Adityanath government to draft a fresh MSME policy for the small and micro units, so that the sector gets all focus.
The Council, in its suggestions, sought two main problems of MSME sector for the import of cheap items from China and other countries, besides credit problem to run their units.
It recommended that a MSME Finance Development Corporation should be set up in UP which could finance the sector and it could be linked with the ambitious One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme.
