Chennai, March 4 -- Tyre majors MRF on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to set up a green field facility involving an investment of Rs 5,300 over 12 years in the southern Sivaganga district.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin at the State Secretariat in the presence of company and government officials.

In a regulatory filing before the NSE and BSE, MRF Tyres said it has today entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu, through its Nodal Agency "Guidance" to facilitate the setting up of a Greenfield manufacturing facility for Automotive Tyres and Allied Products at SIPCOT Industrial Park in Sivaganga district....
