Aizawl, Dec. 30 -- The Mizoram Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) on Tuesday demanded that the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) and the Mizo National Front (MNF) immediately snap their alliance with the BJP-led NDA, saying such a step was needed to defend Christians facing attacks across the country.
In a press statement, the MPYCC said India has seen a steady rise in harassment and violence against Christians in recent years, with many incidents reported during the Christmas season.
It said carol services were stopped, churches damaged and fear spread among peaceful communities.
