Raisen (MP), Oct. 16 -- A surprising case of alleged police negligence and corruption has come to light in this district of Madhya Pradesh.
A girl who went missing from a village a year back was recently found in Indore by Jaithari Police Post In-charge Arvind Pande. The girl's father wrote to the Chief Minister, Director General of Police, Collector and Superintendent of Police, Raisen, and demanded action.
The letters contain grave allegations against Pande. According to the father, one Sonu Vishwakarma -- who was earlier a driver in the 108 ambulance service -- lured his daughter away. Later, a report was registered at Jaithari, under Silwani Police Station, but an entire year passed by without the police taking any solid action.
