Guna, June 24 -- Five youths died due to asphyxiation in a well in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, police said.
According to police and administration, a calf fell into an old well in Dharnawada village this morning. Mannu Kushwah, a youth from the village, went down the well to rescue the calf. When he started having difficulty breathing, Sonu Kushwah and another youth went down to help him.
Seeing their condition worsen, Mannu's elder brother Pawan Kushwah and two other youths, Guru Ojha and Shivcharan Sahu, also descended into the well.
Due to the possible presence of toxic gas in the well, all of them started suffocating. Pawan Kushwah managed to come out with the help of a rope, but the other five youths lost cons...
