Bhopal, July 30 -- Unabated heavy rains lashed almost entire Madhya Pradesh during the past two days leading to inundation and flood-like situations with rivers overflowing in several areas, and teams of Army, NDRF, and the state's SDERF today rescued more than 250 people stranded in some villages in the Shivpuri district.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav also reached the state command centre and the Home Guards Headquarters in Bhopal today to monitor the situation. He held a meeting with the officials and gave necessary instructions.
