New Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec. 15 -- Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Monday met union Minister for Railways, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw and submitted a representation seeking the establishment of a semiconductor industry in the Peddapalli-Mancherial region of Telangana.

Highlighting the region's strengths, the MP said the area has assured water availability from the Godavari River and a strong industrial base with units such as Ramagundam Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL), Singareni Collieries and NTPC, which together have created a pool of skilled manpower suitable for a semiconductor project.
