Sheopur (MP), Nov. 20 -- Five cheetah cubs were born at Kuno National Park in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, bringing joy to conservationists.
Their mother, Mukhi, was the first cheetah female born in India, and all six, including the cubs, are reported to be healthy.
Expressing enthusiasm on social media, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said this milestone is "a historic achievement for the park and an unprecedented success for the cheetah campaign in India," highlighting that Mukhi, just 33 months old, is adapting well to her environment.
Cheetahs had been reintroduced to India on September 17, 2022, after being extinct in the country for several decades.
