Gwalior (MP), Feb. 10 -- An aged woman died and seven people, including women and a four-year-old girl, were injured in a stampede at a religious programme on Tuesday in this district's Dabra tehsil, police said.
The consecration of a navgrah temple was scheduled from Tuesday until February 20. The programme is being organised by erstwhile state home minister Narottam Mishra and his family.
A kalash yatra was to be taken out at 1 p.m. In the morning, a huge crowd began gathering at the Stadium ground in Dabra. The stampede ensued during distribution of kalashs. Rati Sahu (70) was injured and taken to hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
