Bhopal, May 13 -- Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah's controversial statement in the context of Operation Sindoor has gone viral on social media, and the main opposition party, Congress, has launched a scathing attack on him.
In the statement, he is seen using objectionable language and words, particularly in reference to Colonel Sophia Qureshi.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar strongly reacted to Shah's statement, calling it not only shameful but also an insult to both the Army and women.
Singhar said that an Army officer or soldier has no religion; they are not counted as Hindu or Muslim. Their only religion is "country".
