Bhopal, July 30 -- The Madhya Pradesh Assembly today witnessed an interaction in Sanskrit between a ruling Bharatiya Janata Party member and School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh.

Through the medium of a calling attention notice, Abhilash Pandey sought to draw the Minister's attention to the protection and promotion of the Sanskrit language in the state. Pandey read the notice in Sanskrit. Singh provided his reply in Sanskrit.

"The Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan is working towards the betterment of Sanskrit," the Minister said and furnished details regarding a Sanskrit Olympiad for school students and Sanskrit-related competitions in events such as Balrang.
