Bhopal, April 28 -- Retired Supreme Court Judge, Justice Ranjana Prasad Desai, has been appointed the chairperson of a panel constituted by the Madhya Pradesh BJP government to prepare a draft bill for the state with detailed provisions related to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
The panel has been asked to submit its report within 60 days. The move is aimed at implementing the Uniform Civil Code in Madhya Pradesh.
