Chandigarh, May 14 -- Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday said that a derogatory comment by a minister in BJP-ruled state about Colonel Sofia Qureshi was an insult to the armed forces as well as the country.
A comment by Vijay Shah, a minister in Madhya Pradesh, went viral in social media.
Without naming the minister, the Congress leader wrote on X that BJP's misogyny has come out in the open many a time whether it was trolling of wife of Navy officer martyred in Pahalgam terrorist attack, trolling of daughter of Vikram Misri, Secretary of External affairs or now comment about Qureshi.
He demanded that the BJP seek the resignation of the minister and apologise to the country.
