MoU signed to strengthen weather forecasting capabilities in Nagaland

Dimapur, Feb. 27 -- The Nagaland Higher Education Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) under the Ministry of Earth Sciences to strengthen weather forecasting capabilities across the state.

The agreement, signed at the Directorate of Higher Education in Kohima, aims to enhance collaboration in key areas such as urban meteorology, disaster preparedness, and agricultural advisories.

The MoU, duly vetted and approved by the Nagaland government, was signed in the presence of higher education minister Temjen Imna Along, secretary, higher & technical education, Sarita Yadav, ex officio director, higher education, V Lovitoly Sema, and IMD representatives.
