London, June 5 -- Metal icon Lemmy Kilmister, best known as the frontman of the legendary English heavy/speed metal band Motorhead, is likely to be posthumously honoured in his hometown of Burslem, in the area of Staffordshire, with a music venue dedicated to his memory.
After having erected a statue of the global icon last month, modelled after his classic pose from the band's song 'Ace of Spades', featuring him in front of a microphone while rocking out his bass, there are plans to reportedly install a music hall in his honour.
The planned venue will be an 800-capacity live music club called 'Kilmister Halls' in Burslem, Stoke-On-Trent, and has been gathering a lot of local support. The space would also include a cafe and a museum, and ...
