Pune, May 3 -- Kokanastha Parivar Pune has announced that this year's Late Kamal Nevarekar Memorial Award, presented on the occasion of Mother's Day, will be conferred upon Mrs. Changuna Dattatray Karche, mother of blind cricket world champion team member Amol Karche.
The announcement was made by organization president Sunil Nevarekar on Sunday.
The award ceremony will be held on May 10 at Nehru Stadium as part of the Mother's Day celebrations observed on the second Sunday of May every year.
The felicitation will be conducted by international sportsperson and former Sports Director of St. Mira's College, Dr. Manju Jugdar, under the chairmanship of Vinaya Pednekar.
