MoSPI to conduct workshop on developing ocean accounts in coastal areas

New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) will organize a one-day workshop on 'Capacity Building of Coastal States on development of Ocean Accounts' at Kochi, Kerala, on August 29.

The workshop will help in making coherent measurement of progress towards the sustainable development of ocean.

The event is also under collaboration with the Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES).

Discussions will be held to fulfill the international obligations under the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) framework.
