Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- Women have shown greater confidence in Odisha's public transport ecosystem, with recent data revealing that 57.44 percent of users on the Odisha Yatri platform between October 2024 and July 2025 were women.

According to official sources, out of the 2.57 lakh passengers who used the platform during this period, over 1.48 lakh were women - a remarkable reflection of improved accessibility, safety, and gender inclusion in the state's mobility landscape.

The Odisha Yatri app, launched by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in January began its pilot operations in October 2024.
