Sonbhadra (UP), Nov. 15 -- More than a dozen workers were today buried under debris that fell on a stone quarry in the Billi Markundi mining area of the Obra police station area of Sonbhadra district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior administration officer said.

A team from the district administration has been working to rescue the trapped workers.

District Magistrate BN Singh said that some workers were buried at the Krishna Mines in Billi Markundi after a wall of the hill collapsed. He said that efforts are underway to rescue the trapped workers with the assistance of private companies, Obra Power Company and others.
