Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, July 28 -- The Marathwada region continues to witness varied monsoon performance across its eight districts, with the latest data released yesterday revealing disparities in the distribution of rainfall that could impact agricultural activities and water resources management for the season ahead.

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad) division, encompassing the drought-prone districts of Marathwada, has recorded an overall rainfall of 94.29 per cent of the normal precipitation from June onwards, showing a marginally deficit monsoon pattern that has become characteristic of this agriculturally crucial region in the recent years.
