Amaravati, May 20 -- Conditions are likely to become favourable for the onset of the southwest monsoon over Kerala during the next 4-5 days, the Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that the conditions are also favourable for the further advance of the southwest monsoon into additional parts of the South Arabian Sea, the remaining areas of the Maldives and Comorin region, parts of the Lakshadweep area, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and further into more areas of the South and Central Bay of Bengal, the Northeast Bay of Bengal, and parts of the northeastern states during the same period.
