Aizawl, June 8 -- Mizoram continues to grapple with the widespread impact of monsoon-induced disasters, with at least 771 instances of landslides, mudslides, and landslips recorded across the state since May 24, according to an update from the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC).

While the intensity of rainfall has reduced in some regions, isolated areas continue to report fresh destruction.

The latest data released by the Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department revealed that no fewer than 272 buildings have been either damaged or destroyed due to the persistent heavy downpour over the last two weeks.
