Shimla, Aug. 30 -- Troubles are pouring from the sky in Himachal Pradesh as heavy rains and landslides continue to batter the hill state.

In Rampur Bushahr, three houses were damaged late yesterday night when a landslide struck Sheel Prog village of Devthi Patwar Circle. The houses of Tulsi Das, Lekhraj and Harish Kumar were partially buried under debris. Fortunately, there was no loss of life reported.

Across the state, the impact of the rains has been widespread. 560 roads, including three National Highways, remain closed. NH-5 was blocked at Nigulsari after a landslide and cracks have appeared on the road, while debris also fell on the Nathpa road.
