Shimla, Aug. 29 -- Relentless monsoon rains continue to batter Himachal Pradesh, triggering landslides, floods and widespread devastation across the hill state.
The worst-hit areas include Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi, Chamba and Solan, where road connectivity has been severely crippled and relief operations are underway.
In a major incident, a cloudburst in Lippa village of tribal Kinnaur district on Friday morning caused extensive damage. Orchards and fields were swept away by gushing waters, inflicting heavy losses on farmers.
Panic gripped the region as two people were reported missing in the aftermath, but they were later traced and found safe. An administrative team rushed to the spot to assess the damage and initiate relief measures.
