Shimla/Mandi, July 2 -- The death toll in Mandi district due to landslides and multiple cloudburst incidents on July 1 has risen to 10, while 34 people remain missing, according to the latest report issued by the Himachal Pradesh State Emergency Operation Centre.
The monsoon fury, which has been consistently wreaking havoc in the state for the past three years, has again brought devastation to several regions of Mandi, especially in the sub-divisions of Karsog, Thunag, Padhar and Gohar. Between June 20 and July 1, the state has reported around 90 people either killed or missing in weather-related incidents.
