Patna, Aug. 11 -- In view of the incessant rains sweeping Bihar, the state government has issued
a detailed monsoon advisory for farmers and cattle owners to protect livestock from weather-related hazards.
Official sources said here today that the Animal and Fisheries Resources department has urged the owners not to tie animals to electric poles during the rainy season, warning that wet conditions increase the risk of electrocution from faulty wires or waterlogged electrical fittings.
