Narainpur, Oct. 1 -- Tamil Nadu opened their campaign in the 30th Senior Women's National Football Championship for the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2025-26 Final Round with a clinical 2-0 win over hosts Chhattisgarh at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground on Wednesday.
Two-time champions Tamil Nadu secured the top spot in Group A with three points, courtesy of a brace from Monisha, while Goa and Bengal, who played out a goalless draw later in the day, settled for the second and third positions respectively.
