Ulan Bator, Aug. 20 -- Mongolia's National Agency for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring on Wednesday continued to warn of heavy rainfall and potential flooding across the country.

According to the agency, intense rain has been battering multiple regions since Wednesday morning, including all nine districts of the capital and neighboring Tuv Province in central Mongolia.

Western provinces such as Bayan-Ulgii, Uvs, and Khovd, along with northern provinces including Selenge, Orkhon, and Darkhan-Uul, are also affected.

Authorities have urged residents, particularly those living near riverbanks, to take precautionary measures.
