Solan, Feb. 26 -- A 35-year-old road accident victim with a grossly deformed foot and ankle regained his ability to walk again after doctors at a private hospital in Mohali used advanced minimally invasive poke-hole techniques, which successfully salvaged the limb.
Dr Chandan Narang, Consultant, Foot and Ankle Surgery at Fortis Hospital Mohali, told mediaperons on Wednesday that the patient had undergone multiple surgeries elsewhere and was eventually advised amputation due to poor skin condition, compromised nerves and blood vessels, and his inability to walk.
