Tianjin/New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- India and China today reaffirmed that the two countries are development partners and not rivals, and that their differences should not turn into disputes, during bilateral talks between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin today.

A readout of the talks, held on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Tianjin, also said that India "underlined the importance of peace and tranquility on the border areas for continued development of bilateral relations".

The readout said that both leaders "welcomed the positive momentum and steady progress in bilateral relations since their last meeting in Kazan in October 2024", referring to the meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, foll...
