Kolkata, April 23 -- Minutes after polling began in the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media, urging citizens to turn out in large numbers.
In the first phase of election 152 assembly constituencies spread across 16 districts are in the fray.
In his message focused on West Bengal, Modi wrote, "Phase 1 of the West Bengal Assembly elections take place today. I urge all citizens to participate in this festival of democracy with full strength.
