Bengaluru, Aug. 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat Express trains at 11:00 AM tomorrow in Bengaluru, giving a fresh push to India's expanding high-speed rail network. The centrepiece of the event will be the Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express, the 11th such service in Karnataka, launched alongside the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Amritsar and Ajni (Nagpur)-Pune Vande Bharat trains, inaugurated virtually. The Bengaluru-Belagavi train will cover the 611 km stretch in just 8.5 hours, cutting travel time by nearly 1 hour 20 minutes from Bengaluru to Belagavi and 1 hour 40 minutes on the return journey compared to existing services.
