Kolkata, Dec. 20 -- : Just a few hours before his rally at Taherpur in Nadia district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday mounted a sharp attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress, alleging large-scale misgovernance, loot and intimidation, and projecting the BJP as the "people's hope" in West Bengal.

In a post on his X handle, the Prime Minister said he would address a BJP rally in Ranaghat on December 20 and accused the TMC of pushing the state into suffering despite the Centre's "pro-people initiatives".
