KOLKATA/GUWAHATI, Dec. 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, accusing it of obstructing development, indulging in corruption and causing "suffering" to the people of the state.
In a telephonic address to people of Taherpur in Nadia district of West Bengal after his helicopter failed to land because of poor visibility, Modi said the Trinamool Congress had every right to oppose him and the BJP, but should not stall Bengal's progress.
