Bengaluru, May 5 -- Bengaluru's chances of hosting the IPL 2026 final have come under serious threat following a widening political controversy over allocation of match tickets to legislators, with the BCCI weighing the option of shifting the marquee clash to another city, sources said on Tuesday.
The row, which began as a demand by Karnataka legislators for complimentary VIP tickets to IPL matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, has snowballed into a politically sensitive issue amid criticism over "VIP culture", preferential treatment and alleged pressure on the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
