Dhanbad, Dec. 15 -- Jharkhand MLA Saryu Rai visited the gas-affected areas of Kendua Dih on Monday and assessed the situation on the ground.
During the visit, he interacted with local residents in the affected localities and listened to their grievances related to the ongoing gas leakage.
He also inspected the relief camps set up for displaced families and reviewed the living conditions of the people taking shelter there.
After the field inspection, Rai addressed the media at the Circuit House in Dhanbad and shared his views on the gas leakage incident.
He said that the gas leak in Kendua Dih had created a serious crisis for the local population and posed a major threat to life and property.
