Nagpur/Buldhana, April 24 -- A political controversy has erupted in Maharashtra after Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad allegedly issued a threat to Prakash Ambi, the publisher of the book "Who Was Shivaji?" authored by the late CPI ideologue Govind Pansare.

According to an audio clip that has gone viral, Gaikwad purportedly warned the publisher, stating, "We will do you Govind Pansare too," in an apparent reference to the killing of the noted rationalist.

Congress Legislature Party leader Vijay Wadettiwar has written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, demanding stringent action against Sanjay Gaikwad.
